Mehendi is a popular form of art among the women,which is applied on Palms and Legs during special occasions like weddings, festivals etc. It is created from the powdered dry leaves of the henna plant. There are many variations and designs. To commemorate the occasion of International Women’s Day and also to bring an awareness about Indian culture, the importance of Mehendi, 268 people had applied Mehendi on their palms simultaneously. This was done on 10th March 2019, at Pune. The entire event was organized by Kalamanch Foundation & Kiran Sathe, Pune, Maharashtra, India.
