The world’s largest electrical safety awareness campaign was achieved by Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL), Maharashtra, India. It was conceptualized and initiated by Mr. Lokesh Chandra, (IAS), Chairman and Managing Director, MSEDCL and Mr. Rajendra Pawar, Director (HR), MSEDCL. It was executed by all the officers and staff of MSEDCL throughout the state of Maharashtra. This awareness campaign was held from 31st May, 2025 to 6th June, 2025, and was
carried out to commemorate the MSEDCL’s 20th anniversary. It has organized multiple activities like “Marathon-Run For Safety ” with 11,881 participants, Online Quiz participated by 96,150 people, Essay & Drawing with 7,593 students, Electrical Safety Awareness Pledge taken by 42,201 employees, Rallies for creating awareness about Electrical Safety and Energy Conservation with 27,155 participants, Digital outreach through mails to 35,73,584 & sms to 1,92,78,895 people.

This campaign has directly involved 2,11,753 participants and thus achieved a new World Record title. The purpose of this awareness campaign was to encourage people to use electricity safely, take precautions of electrical hazards and aimed to achieve zero electrical accidents in the Maharashtra State.
