To commemorate the occasion of Yoga Day, the Most Number of “Sun Salutations”, has been performed by 1,10,000 participants on 21 June 2018, hosted at Balgaon, Jath (Sangli District, Maharashtra, India). The purpose of the event was to spread an awareness about the importance & benefits of Yoga. The inspiration behind the programme was Shri Chandrakantdada Patil, Revenue & PWD Minister, Government of Maharashtra. The event was organized by Shri Vijaykumar Nagorao Kalam (Collector & District Magistrate, Sangli), and his entire team as well as
Shri Amrutanand Swamigalu (Yog guru) & Team of Shri Gurudev Ashram, Balgaon, Jath. It was co-ordinated and supervised under the guidance of Shri Trigun Kulkarni (Residential Deputy Collector, Sangli).
